I don't believe 39's had them.
I stand corrected - According to Gary Mallast's 38/39 book they did have them.
None of the original 39's I have owned ever had them - they must have been discarded.
I'd better start learning at this late stage of my life to keep my mouth closed.
Maybe it was the RHD ones that didn't have them.
Hardly a weight saver.
