Great advice all, and Mike thanks for the reminder about the block freezing and cracking.
Are there other things that are known problem spots to observe? Leaking gearbox oil from the trans or rear-end? Anything about the brakes - I know nothing about mechanical brakes. Known body rust spots? Known chassis weak spots?
