It has been said and you can find in many lookups that plain Lemon juice - the real stuff - will work on rust stains when left in the Sun. Since its your seat it would be a easy thing to try.

I have a bad stain in the headliner I would love to try this with, but since I would have to turn the car upside down to get the Sun on it, I won't be able to tell if it works.
