Before my current re-build, I had Float-a-Motor mounts but still had the old U-Joint cap with the "finger" that was over the cross-member. The finger did not rest on the cross-member, but had some clearance. This year I replaced the U-Joint cap without the finger and installed the pictured set-up. I discovered that my U-Joint covers did not match the one on the transmission and somewhere along the line they were connected with three bolts instead of five. It's amazing what one can find on a car that has been around for nearly 90 years.
