When we had the Hall Scott done I had to remove the piston from the offending hole, re-install the head so when the engine was rotated the cam drive chain would not get tangled up, then reverse the procedure after the crank was done, whatta pain! When I got it running again I found that the oil needed to be checked with the engine running, it made about 1 gallon difference on the dip stick and if not done that way the oil pressure was down.
