I belong to both and find the cost to be minimal when you consider the benefits of keeping the "A" hobby alive and well. When you consider the money we spend buying a car or cars, and the maintaining, repairing, restoring, and modifying, membership fees are a drop in the bucket. Membership is an investment in the future of the hobby!!
