There are still a few good deals on used manifolds out there. Talk to your car friends, go to swap meets, and check CraigsList, etc. All of my manifolds were obtained this way, but I got rid of my duplicates and spares a few years ago. If you try, you should be able to get a real dual manifold for about the same price as an adapter. After that, the linkages and fuel lines are the same for both. Trust me, you will be a lot happier.

They are still out there. One suggestion would be to avoind any "Super" manifolds (with the wide spaced carbs); they cause generator mounting problems. Stay with a "Regular", like the one "Charlie ny" recommended where the generator can be mounted in the stock position
