How much the wheels are pitted would govern how much you fill the pits in the wheels. I would suggest that you keep in mind your are dealing with a "truck", which is a tool, so don't over restore it .
I would make a guess that you used the term "Mate" in an earlier posting and you describe the truck as being a 1-1/2 "tonne", that being the "English" spelling for "ton", therefore I would guess you are located down under?
I have a '36 Ford 1.5 ton flat bed truck.
