Default Re: MODEL A HEARSE needed for AL Lepore in Connecticut

I know of a Model AA hearse in Texas owned by a funeral home but that's too far away and too expensive. It belonged to a friend of mine and it had only 10,000 original miles. It can be seen briefly in the sheriff's funeral scene in the 1984 movie "Places in the Heart" with Sally Field.

Before my friend sold it to the funeral director we had great fun at club meetings. With a fake casket in the back and a volunteer dead man, the kids would squeal and scream with delight when he opened his eyes and rose from the casket. The adults would follow with comments like, "You look better dead than alive" and everyone would laugh.

Of course it would not be a joke if used in a real funeral and I wish CT. was not so far away.
