I'm working on this guy's huckster, has a modern plate on the front, and a historical vehicle plate on rear with no tags on either. I need to check with calif dept of motor vehicles to see if the vehicle is legal. for now I am just making short test drives. I was told that It needs annual tags even with the historical vehicle plate. Anyone know the answer?
