About 30 years agoI found a 312 sitting on the ground in a salvage yard. All the pistons were corroded to the cylinder walls. The cylinders that weren't cracked, I cracked getting the pistons out. Back then I hadn't heard of grinding a 312 crank to a 292 block. I had a machine shop sleeve all 8 cylinders. The engine is still running great today.
