TT or AA truck axles were favored for doodlebugs as well as a combination of two transmissions for ones used as tractors in order to get the underdrive affect. Some just used the AA 4-speed transmission.

The little LUC engine is around 16 HP but John Deere did use them in the small model LA tractor with a draw bar rating of 10 HP. The engine was also used for industrial applications and for non pto versions of the model 12A combines.
