The original green permanent antifreeze is actually a ethylene glycol.
Propylene glycol is the non poisonous stuff commonly tinted pink and used as RV plumbing antifreeze.
Propylene glycol can also be used as an engine coolant. Some racing engines are running 100 percent undiluted propylene glycol. When used in its pure form, it is highly refined and not a Walmart offering.
