I see loose studs as a problem. If the stud turns when you check the torque, the nut doesn't move on the stud. These two threads have different pitches. 55# torque on a nut that moves on the stud puts much more downwards pressure on the head than the stud moving in the coarser thread in the block does. I use a molybdenum anti seize on the tops of the studs and a sealant at the bottom where they go into the block. The nut moves when I retorque and the stud can be removed from the block without too much trouble.
