Studs removed when removing Head Nuts
I am removing my head that was torqued repeatedly to 55# and stayed at 55# on repeated routine checks. When I removed it, 7 studs came out with the nut and only 7 nuts came off the studs. When I installed the studs 9,000 miles (2 Year) ago I did not use any sealant, just anti seize. I will be changing heads to a Snyder's 6:1 and am wondering if this is a problem with the studs releasing before the head nut, or if it is not an issue as long as the nut torques down and stays at the desired torque value.
