Default Re: The Gettysburg FINE POINT Score

In regards to the signs on both ends of the tent: During judging, non-judging people are not allowed. Judges are discussing things. Folks might try to influence judges. The area around a vehicle is limited and sometimes the judges must wait for other judging teams to finish. We asked non-judging people to leave several times. Almost all were totally fine and understood what was going on. Only a couple seemed to take offense when being asked to leave. We are amateurs trying to do the best possible job in judging that we can. The less distractions that we are exposed to the better.

Dean, the signs never came down. I certainly understand why no one except judges were allowed in the tent while the judging was going on. Fine point judging must be extremely taxing, and the judges do not need any distraction. But--the signs never came down. I just wasn't forward enough to walk past the signs, or to ask for a judge to escort me. If this was the viewing time, I certainly didn't feel welcome to view the cars. Sorry I missed them.
