Jeff, I'd say the 2 week window is about right. The old timers wisdom is spot on. About a month ago a friend died un-expectedly. I setup a facebook memorial page for him and it was incredibly active. As the days after the funeral passed, the activity dwindled. Two weeks to the day of his passing, the last post went up and it's been quiet since.

The old timer was spot on.
