Re: engine number location
The chassis number is located on the left hand side of the frame in front of the firewall on a Left Hand Drive vehicle whilst the chassis/engine number is located on the right hand side of the frame on a Right Hand Drive vehicle very close to where the steering box is mounted. There are a FEW RARE cases where I have seen it on the left hand side on Australian delivered vehicles. The engine number was duplicated on the chassis rail, however it’s pretty rare nowadays to find matching numbers due to engine swaps. Hope that helps. Dave
