Tom's right, the ring gear goes on the left side of the car. The main expense is your time, assuming the rear axle parts are still o.k. This would be a good time to check everything though, as the entire rear axle assembly will need to be taken apart. If you were otherwise considering purchasing this truck, I wouldn't let that stop me from tendering an offer. Good luck regardless whatever you decide.
