Default Re: 1937 crank pulley seal?

Okay a little update. Went to Napa to try and find the speedy sleeve but no luck. The “groove” in the crank pulley seems to be more just a paint wear mark vs an actual groove and they said it should be fine. They couldn’t find any sleeves in their books that matched my OD so I’m still searching to find a sleeve that will fit.

I finally removed everything from the front to gain accesss. I definatly only want to do this once so my question is with original crank pulleys being hard to find and the seal I have being modern should I grease the crank pulley shaft so the modern rubber seal doesn’t wear due to friction? It seems to be a good fit but I would assume at high rpms the inner part of the seal would heat up and start to come apart.
