Solo, the install video that Tony referenced above will give you a better picture on how these thin sleeves work on our flat head pulleys. If you don't feel comfortable or have access to a micrometer to measure diameter and length of the area you need to repair, another option is to take your pulley to a machine shop and let them put the proper sized sleeve on for you. As to whether or not you can buy a new pulley, bear in mind that these were all intended to be used with the rope seal, so finding one that's set up for the new one piece might be a challenge.

Should I buy a sleeve that covers the whole outer crank shaft part that has the grooves worn into it or just a long enough piece to cover the wear marks?
