Notice the hole in the corner of the cross member at the frame rail.....it's a '34 design.
The '34 "gusset" (that's what their called) will have a complete corner that has a hole in it for a rivet in that position. Actually there are rivet's used for
all holes. If bolts have been used, it's a sign the piece has been previously removed and put together as easy as possible. The '33 gusset doesn't have that hole in the corner. It actually doesn't have a 90 degree corner at all, but makes a small diagonal opening across that point. No attachment at all for a corner rivet.
As the image shows, this gusset has had some major surgery with a cutting torch in the corner, and along the front edge of the cross member. It should extend to the hole seen to the far left of the cross member.
