You need to bleed the air out of the gun just prior to the hose. Loosen up one of the fittings on the end of the cap slowly until you can start to see grease ooze out around the threads. Don't remove it completely or you'll have grease everywhere. Ounce you see grease oozing out from around the threads, tighten the fitting back up and you should be good to go.
