When you pull the transmission be sure to check the throw out bearing.

If it is stamped "Aetna" ... these are famous for going bad. As I remember they "seize up" when bearing gets warm.

Many of these junk bearings still show up at swap meets, on Ebay, Craig's list and Amazon.

It seems that not everyone knows about the problem or they know and are crooked enough to resell them!
