By the way, do you have any experience in restoring your metal channel top bows on your PU? I am in the process of doing that and I scraped out the asphalt strips that were caked and deteriorated inside the meltal channel. What do you suggest I replace it with? Some have suggested ABS Plastic. Others recommend rawhide strips. Some even suggested resin-soaked wood chips (not my preference). Any suggestions?
