Originally, your Tudor sedan was equipped with a 12 leaf spring (40-5560-D) which was attached to the rear cross member with two upside-down U-bolts (B-5705-B, in Ford parlance of the period they were know as 'clips'). The dimensions were 2.88" inside the 'U' and 4 1/2" from the inside of the top of the 'U' to the end of the threads. If it is an early '33, 9/16-18 case-hardened castle nuts were used. Later '33s were equipped with case-hardened slotted hex nuts. The cotter pins used were 1/8" x 1".
The bars beneath the spring that the U-bolts attached to were B-5712-C, like the bottom one shown in the photo below, but with the added forged-in reinforcements underneath like the bar at the top of the photo.
