Default Re: 6 volt positive ground jump start

Before I Decided to jump mine with the 12 volt I tryed a few tests to see if it was ok i have 4 extra starters so i bench tryed one in the vice and hooked it up to a 12 bat at full charge dam near killed the battery after a few minits but the starter dident die. It did get a little warm after a few minits of constant spinning though. the coil is a differant story though it took like 20 minits with 12vt to burn it out. when was the last time you ever here of a jump taking more than 10 minits never mind 20. ya if your lights are on it will blow the bulbs. So Keep them off. After my few little tests I tryed it worked fine and have been doing it for about 4 mounths while working on it now that im driveing it i dont need to do it any more unless i leave my lights on in the parking lot. (like yesterday) ha ha
