Default Re: Trickle charger for 1926 roadster pickup

Hey KCW I have been using a Schumacher BEO1250 for several years...I like it.

The problem with the 6V group 1 battery is it should be on a maintainer when parked for a week or more. They seem to be prone to fail after 3-4 years and quicker if not using a maintainer. My experience and from other threads on this subject be it Fordbarn or MTFCA.

What I like about this model is it's 6V/12V, shows percentage of charge. Indicates a bad battery, clamps reversed and if it's charging or maintaining It also has a small cooling fan if 15A rapid charge is being used. I also have a GFI 20a outlet for using my charger.

Can be used on a standard, AGM or gel battery. Good luck and let us know how you make out. Scott
