Has anybody mounted a tool box at the rear of the car? It might not get as water soaked. If it were under the rear it might be more secure from theft of tools and possibly mounted on a tray that when unlocked would swivel out from under on one side like the tray at a dentist chair. Tray attached on both sides, swivel on one side.
