Use the 18mm plug. Snyder's has adapters for the model a (18mm to 14mm). I use one for my compression checker.

18mm Autolite 386 i think. Has the removal-able tops anyway to run raja ends. I can check. Aluminum 18mm is interesting anyway.

Not sure the advantage on this conversion setup. But I don't know the setup you got running?
