Re: Two Door Phaeton on Craigslist
The Washington Blue Deluxe Phaeton in Hershey sold for $50K. It was a car that has won everything there is, and had only a few hundred miles on the clock since. Buy that Phaeton on Craigslist for $20K and drop it off at a reputable restoration shop, tell 'em you aim for a show career, and see how far the remaining $30K will get you.
I see this car at about $8K, and only because it's a Deluxe Phaeton. It's certainly a good, unmolested and largely original car, so that's great, but for $20k it would have to be a fine running and driving car without issues, just needing cosmetics and some TLC.
