We are still on topic as we are still discussing the carb and dizzy questions the OP asked about.
This is from Pg 2-13 of the 1957 Ford Shop Manual on 6 cyl dizzy overhaul.
As a bit of a disclaimer, I have never worked on a 1904. This is the only info I have. I don't want it to appear that I am arguing with anyone.
Perhaps the SCV is a different Holley List # as a remedy to sticky balls. That is a guess.
