If your state is like California there is a special plate for commercial vehicles. I have been looking for a set to use on my '31 RDPU for the last couple of years. I haven't even found an overpriced pair. In California they can be identified by the small letters "PC" standing for "pneumatic commercial" (versus "SC", "solid commercial"). You might check your state with some of the license plate collectors. When applying for a YOM plate in California I think (don't quote me on it) you can use a passenger car plate but there is a section in the vehicle code that allows pre 1936 commercial vehicles to use passenger car plates.
