I have taken the unit apart and yes the grease was pretty hard and void. I cleaned and re-greased it with a nice soft white machine grease, reassembled and hooked up directly to the intake fitting. No good - it did not work At All.

I run a wire up to the wiper area from my battery supply. I think, I would like to install an electric unit. I would like to buy one (used) from Ford Barn person, so if anyone happens to have a workable wiper motor....let me know.
