Aluminum manifolds are weaker and can't be milled much and still support cast iron carbs. The Vortex was suppose to have B size runners but ended up model A size, I think that is the reason that it showed no difference in the dyno tests whether A or B carbs werre used. I've got a vortex manifold in my collection but hesitate to ream the aluminum runners. If I ever use it I will likely run the lighter Marvel carbs. If I saw your manifold at a swap meet I would try to latch on to it if I could . I'm into dual updrafts .

. I've never seen one at a swap meet, and I've only ever seen one dual downdraft for a banger.
