Post a picture of the injection pump---I worked on both a 580, and a 780 a long time ago, one has rotary pump, other inline

I think it has a rotomaster pump ---I think that pump has a plastic piece inside that goes bad ---they act weird for a while then they either won't run or won't stop ---I remember someone trying to shut one down using a rag stuffed in the intake ---and it sucking in the rag and fluffy lint coming out the exhaust---if yours is acting up you should move it close to where you will work on it while it still runs
