I'll put it this way, if I can keep from dumping a lot of money into getting this running, my wife will be much happier. At this point I am committed to getting this running right - not looking to be sloppy but at the same time trying to be somewhat prudent in where the money goes too.

It was a joke...........ATM is for money, and ATF is the automatic tranny fluid you had in mind.
Mike, I removed the head from a 1929 Chevy engine years ago and found someone bored the cylinders .030" oversize but used the stock pistons. I'll bet that engine had some piston slap.
