Default Re: there goes nice model A gone...

Just my $.02
Somebody found out recently that there a currently over 500,000 Model A's registered in the US. If this is true there has got to be at least 100,000 more just resting in storage, and probably at least 300-400 thousand in various states of completeness and parts.
Figuring that probably 100-200 thousand are hot rodded, there has gotta be 20,000 for sale at any given time, and half are still stockers, or minorly upgraded.
We all know that the advertised price for any car is just a fishing expedition.
Having said that I can easilly find 5-10 cars a week within 200 miles from my home.
Most reasonably good stock or nearly so Model As are asking for $10,000-$15,000.
If you want one you can get it.
I personally can't see cutting up a nice stocker, but if I found one with a V8 and some 35 wheels that somebody put together 40 or 50 years ago, I would just leave it alone and enjoy it. Ther are plenty of originals left.
And the TV shows are purely entertainment.
Sometimes you gotta get out and drive!
Just my $.02
