The splash aprons also don't have the small indentation along the front lower part where it bolts to the front fender. The splash apron looks a lot like the crappy Howell's junk - poorly made. It also appears that most of the slotted bolt holes are not punched. If you want a splash apron for a driver and don't care about authenticity, it will probably work, but not fit quite right. There are numerous original splash aprons available - why not buy a pair of them - they would be cheaper, but may require a little bodywork. That is what I do. Normally they are in decent condition. I almost always use original parts and have never had a problem with them fitting and looking correct.
