I seem to recall that with a cam as aggressive as a 425, that the engine should never be idled low, even after the engine is all bedded in. Higher idle throws more oil at the camshaft and lifters. Can't remember where I heard it, but seems to make sence.
What's your thoughts on this John?
Would running the late Merc rods with the oil hole directed towards the cam help here? Would this allow the idle to be bought down?
I'm talking about an engine that's already been bedded in or run in or whatever it's called over there.
