What works a long time (years) for me is powdered graphite during assembly with NO grease or other lube. I rub it on and rub it in 'till the surfaces are shiny gray. It does not wash or dissolve in gas, and if any of the powder gets through into the carb and engine, it is harmless. I suppose powdered Moly-D would also work.
