Terry Burtz has some really pretty patterns, too. (I have seen them.) This is a complex casting to pour, get the metal to flow where you want it, and get all the air and other gasses that come out of the metal and molds to escape (not leave big voids).
I wish them both luck because I want one!!!

It really isn't that tough of a casting. I've made vastly tougher ones than this. My first FE block was good, my 351 Clevelands had some chaplet problems, but once I found a better chaplet than the foundries had on hand the problem was solved. I've been in the casting industry for 37 years, so I better be able to make these!
