I know it was made of metal, but my reference to "metal color" was since it wasn't painted nor looking like any rust, it may be aluminum. As the hinge is different, you need to get the one that fits. Now that you said the next post's hinge is different than yours and it appears to be aluminum, is your windshield frame steel though bare and showing no rust? If that's true than you need a steel hinge. If all of this is different than maybe you have a non-Model A windshield frame requiring a totally different hinge. There have been other make windshield frames that looked similar on the outside to a Model A.
