Thanks to Curt and everyone that's commented on my post. From the pictures that Curt sent me my window frame has had the part that the hinge slides into cut off. I can see a not so straight line were it was cut and theres nothing to connect the hinge too. So I am going to have to find a new top section for my frame or get another hinge and try to put it on the window frame. Any suggestions.
