Scott, do you have a sheetmetal break?

I meant to add, I made some a few years back...I did have to find a friend with a good shear though..

What I did was break the metal over to match the "V" depth on one side...I left the other side about 2inches wide (will see why in a sec)...then put back in my break and folded it some more to get it in the right "V" as the originals....This is why I needed to leave the other side wider.

Knowing I'd never get a straight cut, or "undeformed" cut, my buddy sheared my left over piece off to match the "V" needed.

I made these in a 3 foot strip (break I was using at the time) then sawed to length...I then used my diegrinder to shape the ends (little curved area) and tigged them in.
