T’was a few weeks before Christmas, in Autumn’s last gasps,
And Frances and I were inside the house.
Then out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
That I knew right away, “Something’s the matter!”
We ran out the house, and there on the drive, was a little short man,
And a truck that went “ah-oog-ah”!
Frances looked up at me, and said with a smile,
“It’s your Christmas present, drive it many a mile!”
So the “Miss Frances” has joined us, She’s family now,
I’m happy and smiling.
That’s enough, and how!
