Marco, the bottom seat cushion cannot be removed without removing the top cushion on a RPU, not that either has to be removed under normal 'use' of a model A of course. Maybe I'm mis-reading your post because I know your knowledge far surpasses mine. Order is bottom cushion followed by top cushion. My bottom cushion just rests in a recessed area in the seat riser (metal raised portion under the seat). How much do you miss by? I wonder if you could screw some small blocks to the bottom of your bottom seat cushing, thus raising it slightly so the top cushion will work properly. Not the most professional way to do it, but if time is taken and enough blocks used so it will still rest in the seat riser, it should work.
