Wow, very interesting. If the the Australiens had their own RHD Bodies, as pictured in Mercmans photo and explained by David, there must have been a rear window regulator with matching wooden panel for the RHD passenger side.
The spring handle to open the rumble seat lidseems to be for all RHD models on the same side ( drivers ) as with the US LHD models ( passenger ) according to the photos by Mercman.
Therefore the rear w. regulator can only be found in Australia for the RHD passenger side.
While it is more comfortable to open the rear window from my drivers position having the australien bodied regulator on my passenger side, i tend to prefer keeping the position of my regulator according to Davids explanation, on my drivers side.
Simply for authenticity / originality reasons, since my car was built that way and for not having to find an Australien bodied regulator ( probably non existant )!
