Ford had a lot of different generators, including a number of high output types. A look at the generator section of the green book will make your head spin. In general high output generators were for special applications like busses, police cars or trucks with additional equipment. They can produce roughly 50 - 75% more current than a standard generator, often at lower RPMs. They are larger and heavier, and came in 2 and 3 brush configurations. Hope this helps.
