Open the rumble first - hold onto the lid. There should be a step pad on the right taillight extension. Left foot on that pad, right foot on the fender pad, step on to the seat, climb in. Getting out is nearly as much fun - just reverse the process.

Yep. Stepping on the seat is just a part of having a rumble seat.
